We believe that children deserve a safe, caring and stimulating environment where quality care is provided. Our passionate and resourceful educators are key to providing children with a positive learning environment that is inclusive and respectful to all. We recognise and value the importance of strong, collaborative and nurturing partnerships between children, families, community and educators. We provide children with opportunities to grow and develop as confident individuals by exploring their world through stimulating and challenging play.

Our Values
We provide a safe and secure environment for the quality care of school aged children through structured and well-balanced programs. We achieve this by providing planned activities and supervised free play.
We abide by eight values which represent all areas of our out of school hours programs in order to provide quality learning outcomes for happy children.

Integrity - We always speak the truth and only ever make agreements that we intend to keep.
Excellence - We always look to reflect, grow and improve and add value to our programs.

Education - We reflect and learn from our mistakes, we gain practical knowledge and provide solutions.
Team Work - We cooperate, work collaboratively with all stakeholders and seek outcomes and resolutions.
Systems - We work to our systems and guidelines if a problem arises. We follow regulations and strive for continuous improvement.
Consistency - We are consistent in our actions and ensure comfort and respect for all stakeholders.
Our programs meet all standards and requirements as outlined in the National Quality Framework and reflect Hunter Kids philosophy, mission and values.
Hunter Kids programs are guided by the following principles:
To ensure children’s learning and development is facilitated and their individual interests and abilities are encouraged and needs are met
To provide challenging and interesting age appropriate activities using a variety of resources and suitable equipment to engage and stimulate children’s physical, intellectual, social and creative abilities
To plan for a range of daily indoor and outdoor activities taking into account the health and development guidelines for the age group
To enable children to participate in quiet/active activities, as well as group/small group or individual activities
To encourage children to feel part of the school and wider community
To be evaluated regularly by children, families and educators using a variety of assessments and strategies.
We make your child’s wellbeing, health and safety our priority.
We aim to provide a safe and healthy environment for all children in our program. We are in contact with a variety of organisations to advise and assist us in these areas. Where applicable, families must provide the Director with a Medical or Health Management Plans. We will at all times comply with all relevant health and safety in employment legislation.
